TREATMENT OF EUROPEAN HEDGEHOGS

We treat wild hedgehogs daily through the Sünbarát Alapítvány hedgehog rescue organisation. European hedgehogs are protected animals in Hungary, keeping them at home is forbidden. These animals are most active at night, they are frequently found around suburban neighbourhoods searching for food. They can live most of their life around gardens, feed, mate, hibernate, etc. Around populated areas they are in most danger of being attacked by dogs or hit by cars, but dental or dermatological illnesses are frequent as well.
