DENTAL DISEASES
Dental diseases of rabbits and rodents are very common problems. Most are caused by improper nutrition and environmental issues, but can have a genetic cause as well. At our clinic we carry out dental procedures and surgeries frequently.
During these procedures we perform corrections, meaning filing down any abnormalities of the teeth, bringing them back to their natural form, extract any teeth if necessary and treat abscesses. It is important to know that with these treatments - if successful - we can save the current condition and provide an asymptomatic or low symptomatic status for the animal. These treatments need to be repeated frequently as long as the animal lives, so the cooperation of the owners is essential for long term success.
