ORAL, DENTAL TREATMENTS
Ferrets, just like dogs or cats, are prone to develop tartar and gingivitis. Since they frequently break their teeth during play or chewing on their cage, tooth root inflammation and abscesses are also common. The most frequent symptom of dental disease is halitosis (stinky breath), and avoidance of bones or dry food. These animals prefer to eat meat or soft foods, which increases the development of tartar even more. At our clinic we offer thorough oral examinations and the necessary dental treatments under general anesthesia.
